Blog: Jason Jack Miller
Jason Jack Miller’s blog is on Blogspot.
DC Social Media Examiner (DCSME): What is your blog about?
Jason Jack Miller (JJM): I’m an independent author, so I blog about the things that are significant to my life as a writer and to the world of my novels—music and musicianship, Appalachian food and culture, writing and publishing.
DCSME: How did you pick the topic for Jason Jack Miller?
JJM: Because the master said, “Write what you know.”
DCSME: How is Jason Jack Miller different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?
JJM: I believe my blog is a bit more esoteric without the snobbery of other music and culture blogs. I like what I like and think there are others out there who will like it too.
DCSME: What do you like most about blogging?
JJM: The freedom to pursue my creative interests without the hindrance of editors and guidelines is the best part of blogging. No topic is off limit, and there’s never a deadline. This is writing for the sake of writing.
DCSME: How often do you update Jason Jack Miller?
JJM: Lately I’ve been pretty good at posting three or four times a week, even if it’s a small article or sharing a link. Sometimes I get waylaid by life, but that’s usually where my new material comes from.
DCSME: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?
JJM: Blogging is such a personal pursuit, sometimes it’s tough to keep yourself in check. Writing without feedback has the effect of making it seem like nobody’s reading, when in fact, anything you say can and will be used against you. It’s tough to remember that sometimes.
