DC Social Media Examiner (DCSME): What is your blog about?
Pam Stanton (PRS): Pam Stanton is an author, speaker, consultant, and coach on the importance of soft skills in project management. She writes about topics covering leadership, team dynamics, and project management methodology.
DCSME: How did you pick the topic for The Project Whisperer?
PRS: It is my passion and my career.
DCSME: How is The Project Whisperer different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?
PRS: I write in an engaging, casual style, from the heart and from my personal experience. My perspective on project management represents the vocal minority that is growing in prominence as research and experience show that soft skills are the most important factor in the success of projects.
DCSME: What do you like most about blogging?
PRS: Building a community and sharing ideas.
DCSME: How often do you update The Project Whisperer?
PRS: Once a week.
DCSME: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?
PRS: My book is titled “The Project Whisperer: Understanding the Human Part of the Gantt Chart.” My philosophy is simple: Projects Are About People! Over 25 years and hundreds of successful projects, I’ve learned that trust and respect for the foundation of a high-performing team, and that no methodology can ever trump that.
