Blog: Ice Cream Conversations

Xaviera’s blog is self-hosted on WordPress.

DC Social Media Examiner (DCSME): What is your blog about?

Xaviera (XB): Ice Cream Conversations is a blog and radio show serving delicious scoops of entertainment, music, and celebrity news. You’ll find fresh new music and music videos, television clips, photos from the hottest events, world news and politics, and the latest happenings in the lives of your favorite celebrities. The Ice Cream Conversations radio show airs every Friday night at 10pm on Blogtalkradio.com. Candid discussions, Indie Artist spotlights, and celebrity interviews are the keys to the popularity of our show.

DCSME: How did you pick the topic for Ice Cream Conversations?

XB: For Ice Cream Conversations I chose topics that I personally have an interest in. Because I have a background in music and entertainment writing about it feels so natural which makes blogging even more enjoyable.

DCSME: How is Ice Cream Conversations different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?

XB: Because Ice Cream Conversations often covers stories that many well-known blogs are writing about, I strive to present a fresh point-of-view and different perspective on the content. I have a very “down-to-earth” style of writing that makes my readers feel as if I’m talking directly to them. I also take pride in the fact that Ice Cream Conversations is never purposely hurtful or malicious when writing about certain people or topics.

DCSME: What do you like most about blogging?

XB: I enjoy providing my readers with stories and information I find interesting. I love having the opportunity to give my perspective on the posts. Not to mention, the feedback from the Ice Cream Conversations readers is priceless!

DCSME: How often do you update Ice Cream Conversations?

XB: The content on Ice Cream Conversations is updated daily (with the exceptions of holidays).

DCSME: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?

XB: Outside of blogging on Ice Cream Conversations, I am also a defunct Indie R&B artist. I’ve released two albums, “Sunshine” and “Still Shining.” (Available on iTunes) I’m also a songwriter and Indie Artist Advocate.

Blog: Show Biz, My biz

India Celeste’s blog is on Tumblr.

DC Social Media Examiner (DCSME): What is your blog about?

India Celeste (IC): Be Entertained. Be Inspired.

DCSME: How did you pick the topic for Show Biz, My biz?

IC: Entertainment and Inspiration are two things that I’ve always wanted to use to give myself back to the world. Life is very hard sometimes and we all need to be distracted, have fun, and encouraged at the same time to get through it.

DCSME: How is Show Biz, My biz different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?

IC: It is not a gossip blog. I only comment on entertainment news that is related to someone as a professional and instead of just commenting, I also attempt to give insight into what readers may take from the story and apply to their own lives. I also provide inspirational quotes, music, and movies that entertain yet inspire.

DCSME: What do you like most about blogging?

IC: I like getting the feedback from people that they have beenn inspired to start a blog simply from visiting my page or the feedback that something I posted taught them something new or showed them something they never considered before. My blog is about what I think is important, not about what everyone else is reporting.

DCSME: How often do you update Show Biz, My biz?

IC: Every day to every other day depending on my life schedule. I try not to go more than 2 days without posting.

DCSME: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?

IC: Show Biz, My Biz is going to be around for awhile and I hope that they keep it in mind during their rough days or just to start the day off on the right foot. Learn something new everyday.
