Blog: Divas-Dreams-Devils

Lolita Buck’s blog is on Blogspot.

DC Social Media Examiner (DCSME): What is your blog about?

Lolita Buck (L.B.): My blog is fairly new but I take current topics/events and add a spritual twist/spin to them. I then catergorize or rate the topic as “Diva” “Dream” or “Devil” hence the title of the blog. I then ask readers for feedback on what they think about the subjects.

I occassionally try to tie in scriptures that relate to the subjects of discussion though this is not always the case. My goal isn’t to create a devotional of sorts but to offer a real approach to current issues in a positive light.

DCSME: How did you pick the topic for Divas-Dreams-Devil’s?

L.B.: I picked this format because I’m a Christian writer and I wanted to offer readers a little bit of a lighter approach to spirituality outside of my books and other freelance work I’ve done. In other words, my books and often times articles I’ve written are bit more technical with regards to scriptural references. This blog allows me to still be able to apply those principles but have some fun with it.

DCSME: How is Divas-Dreams-Devil’s different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?

L.B.: To be honest I’m not 100% sure. I just started writing this blog maybe three or four months ago. Thus far, I haven’t come across any other one like it but that’s not to say that one doesn’t exist.

My guess would be that what makes my blog different is the style by which I post entries by categorizing current events as “Diva” “Dream” or “Devil” and then taking a spiritual pespective on issues that aren’t always deemed such.

DCSME: What do you like most about blogging?

L.B.: The thing I like most about blogging is that it keeps my craft (writing) fresh. Though I can’t say I post everyday I try to get something on there at least once a week. Sometimes that’s sort of hard to do because I’m doing other things with my books, freelance work, etc. But it’s always fun to be able to chime in on some of the crazy stuff that’s going on in today’s world and put a posistive spin on it.

DCSME: How often do you update Divas-Dreams-Devil’s?

L.B.: When you say update I’m assuming you’re referring to the frequency of posts. I think I touched on that in the last question a bit. I try to post at least once a week but I’m not always successful at doing so. Perhaps that should be one of my New Years resolutions. (LOL)

DCSME: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?

L.B.: Not exactly sure what to include here. So I figured I’d submit my bio if that’s okay.
